1. FINANCES - Wayne Moore presented and discussed the Annual Financial statement, copies of which had been distributed. The highlights are as follows:
REVENUE
Bank account balance Nov 2005 $ 2,033.50
Cheques and Cash received $ 8,953.74
EXPENDITURES/WITHDRAWALS

Bank Balance Jul 2006 $ 2,318.16
A detailed breakdown of expenditures (mainly reunion weekend expenses) and assets (flags, pins, crests, decals) was also presented.
2. SHIRTS - Wayne mention that the sale of the golf shirts had been "brisk" and that he was still taking orders. The latest version of shirts were ordered by Frank Short and he had selected a shirt of finer quality as compared to the white shirts, although they have proven to be somewhat larger than the former white ones. Trevor had ordered an X-Lrg and is now considering "living in it". Nigel Van Loan looked a "little lost" is his medium. Also Frank Short has a white shirt with the name "Frank" on it that is looking for a new owner. Contact Frank if your name is Frank and you would like to claim this shirt.
3. ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) - It was noted that the June Gaggle Luncheon was sponsored by the Gaggle. The proceeds of the food sales, along with the sale of flags(donated by Tom Montgomery), plus other donation, enabled Wayne to present, on behalf of the SUPRAD OLD-TIMERS ASSOCIATION, a donation of $360.00 to the ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) also know as Lou Gehrig's Disease. A cheque was presented to Nigel Van Loan who accepted it on behalf of the ALS Society of Ontario. Nigel thanked the gathering and donors and commented on the use of the funds and how they were so much needed to support sufferers of ALS. Receipts from future sales of the remaining flags will be donated to the ALS Society.
4. 2007 REUNION - Plans for the 2007 Reunion were discussed and approved. The same caterer will be booked, although there may be a slight increase in overall cost (about $2.00 per person). Brunch at the Greeley Legion after a Gloucester Cairn Ceremony will again be scheduled. It was mentioned by Wayne that this year at the ceremony, Ottawa Mayor Chiarelli was in attendance as an invited guest of Morley McAllister.
5. SALE OF BOOKS - After the Gloucester Cairn Ceremony, Mayor Chiarelli ordered copies of Lynn and George's book "History of Canadian Signals Intelligence & Direction Finding". The book will be included in a package the Mayor presents to the Royal Canadian Legions in the Ottawa area each year on 11 November.
6. GEORGE FRASER - The mention of Lynn and George's book solicited a question as to the health of George Fraser. Wayne promised to get a recent update and would ask Butch to communicate it to members in the usual manner. E-mail received from Lynn Wortman.
{received an email from George yesterday and he finishes radiation this week and his by-pass seems to be healing quite well. He has a burn from the radiation but is feeling pretty good. He said "I'm on the mend"}
7. IN-MEMORY PLAQUE - Deceased non-association SUPRAD Old-timers (those who have not become Lifetime Members) have their name engraved on the "in Memory" plaque. It had been suggested by Butch that after the second "In Memory Plaque" is filled that we cease recording non-members. There is room for about 20 more names on the second plaque. All former SUPRAD personnel are on the Oldtimers website "In Remembrance" list. Under the present system when those who obtain a Lifetime Membership in the SUPRAD Old-timer’s Association, have their names engraved on individual plaques and displayed on the membership tree. Upon their passing, a cross is put beside their name. A suggestion was made that a third plaque would be required to accommodate new members as they retire or join the association. Another suggestion was made that those members who had "passed" should be moved to a separate plaque (We Remember). It was agreed, again by consensus, that this item be deferred to the October meeting to give members time to reflect on this matter.
8. RENDEZVOUS 06 - Com Rsch Rendezvous '06 was held in Moncton and was a complete success with 170 people attending. Some discussion was held regarding the additional expenditures that were incurred by Dave Shaw as part of Com Rsch Rendezvous '06. Trevor Roberts indicated that there were additional expenses incurred by Dave (VCR rentals, flag holder rentals etc.) that may not have been anticipated or covered by the fee charged. After some discussion, it was decided, by consensus, that Butch and Wayne would contact Dave on this matter and if additional funds are indeed required, the amount would be approved at the October meeting. The feeling seemed to be that David and Janet had done such a great job of putting Rendezvous '06 together that they should not have to sacrifice any of their funds in the planning and support of this very successful event.
9. ERNIE STENNING - Trevor Roberts made an announcement that Ernie Stenning would be retiring from CSE. Ex 291'r (CWO) Ernie S 10 ing(Plate number) Stenning, will be retiring again, this time from CSE after 21 years, 45 years all told. Party is at CFS Leitrim Mess on Thursday 14 September at 1200 hours, a buffet lunch will be set up, cost is $20/per. Please Contact Trevor Roberts @ CSE 613-991-8856 or at night 613-821-0356 for details.
10. LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP - Bob Todd mentioned that there seemed to be some confusion by serving members regarding membership in the SUPRAD OLD-TIMERS ASSOCIATION and that maybe someone from the association should attend one of the CO's briefings to explain membership requirements to Leitrim personnel. Wayne mentioned that the requirements are clearly stated on the OLDTIMERS eligibility board displayed at the mess entrance, but that he would be glad to attend one of the CO's briefings to clarify membership eligibility.
11. PROMOTIONS - Wayne made the announcement that three former Chiefs had recently been appointed to the rank of Captain - Brian Kebic, Tom Jenkins and Bob Griffin. Brian and Tom were in attendance. Congratulation were extended to each of these gentlemen by the gathering.
12. HANK & BETTY HANSEN - Ray Trudel mentioned that several of our members had a attended the 50th Wedding Anniversary of Betty and Hank Hansen last Saturday and asked that congratulations be extended to Betty and Hank by "The Gathering" on this special occasion.
13. KEN & MARY DORUSH - Congratulations to Ken & Mary who celebrated their 50th Anniversary on August 7th in Bermuda.
14. CONDOLENCES - These minutes have been prepared by Dean Goodwin for Butch who was "absent on duty" to attend the funeral of his mother who recently passed away in Manitoba. "The Gaggle" wishes to pass on to Butch and Orlene our condolence on the passing of Maynard's mother at the age of 94.
15. NEXT MEETING - The next gaggle will be held Wednesday, October 11th at CFS Leitrim Mess
