RETIREMENT: MWO ROBERT W. FORWARD

1. Master Warrant Officer Robert W. Forward will be retiring from the Canadian Forces on 03 October 2009 after thirty-seven plus years of service in the Communications Research Trade.

2. Master Warrant Officer Robert W. Forward joined the Canadian Forces at Canadian Forces Base Stadacona on 16 February 1972. Tours of duty included Canadian Forces Base Cornwallis, Canadian Forces Station Gloucester, Canadian Forces Base Kingston, Canadian Forces Station Inuvik, 770 Communication Research Squadron Gander(twice), Naval Security Group Activity Northwest Virginia, Canadian Signals Intelligence Operations Centre, National Defence Headquarters Ottawa, Directorate of Intelligence and Security Automation, Canadian Forces Station Leitrim, Maritime Atlantic Headquarters, Canadian Forces Information Operations Group Headquarters, Canadian Forces Language School (twice) and Director General Information Management Operations Canadian Forces J6 Coordination Computer Network Operations. He was also the victim of eight tours of duty at Canadian Forces Station Alert and volunteered for four tours of sea duty aboard Her Majesty's Canadian Ship's Iroquois and Athabaskan (twice) and the United States Ship John C. Stennis.

3. Bob, wife Donna and son Robert will be remaining in the Ottawa area.
