SUPRAD Oldtimers Association

Held at CFS Leitrim All Ranks Mess June 9, 2009

1. Announcements:

A. Thank You – As always, a special thank you to Brandi and Butch Gallant and the CFS Leitrim crew for the excellent service and use of the mess. Profits from this luncheon go to the Shephards of Good Hope.

B. Medical – Tom Montgomery is on the mend and steadily improving after having three heart valves replaced. He remains under observation in the Civic Heart Institute but has been moved from ICU to a ward. Tom and Georgina wish to thank the many friends for their kind thoughts and cards. He asks that friends refrain from visiting for the next few days until he has a chance to get some strength back.

C. Picture of Ralph Kunkel – If anyone has a portrait style picture of Ralph preferable with hat we would appreciate a copy.

2. Lifetime Memberships - New members since our last Gaggle are Jim Lockert, Harry Karasewich, Ross Vandament and Lock Laurie.

3. Finances - We have approximately $4,000.00 in the bank.

4. Raffles – Quilt and Afghan tickets will be on sale until the evening of Saturday 27th. Tickets prices are, 1 ticket for $2.00 or 3 tickets for $5.00. Anyone interested in purchasing tickets can forward their cheque payable to SUPRAD Oldtimers Association. All profits will be donated to the CDS fund for the Families of Deployed Personnel.

5. 2009 Reunion – Just a reminder. The reunion will be held June 26-28 the CFS Leitrim ARM. Please include yes/no for golf when replying. Note the Sunday morning brunch will be held at the Manotick Legion this year vice the Greeley Legion.

6. SRS Desktop Flags – The sale of desktop flags has dropped off considerably. It was decided that each couple at the reunion would receive a flag and the remainder sent to the school in Kingston. A donation will be made to the ALS on behalf of Tom Montgomery.

7. Next Gaggle – The next gaggle is tentatively selected to be held in August, firm dates to follow.
