Appointment and Promotion - Jan 11

A Change of Appointment ceremony was held 7 Jan 11 at CFS Leitrim for the transfer of CFIOG Group CWO position from CWO Henry (Harry) G. Nolan to CWO Michel C. Boislard. CWO Nolan is retiring from the CF and will be working at CSEC.

14 Jan 11 - BGen Turnbull promoted CPO2 Michael S. Salter to the rank of CPO1 effective immediately.

RETIREMENT - SGT PICHETTE, DANIELLE , COMMRSCH 291

1. SGT DANIELLE T. PICHETTE WILL RETIRE FROM THE CANADIAN FORCES INFORMATION OPERATIONS GROUP AND SUPPLEMENTARY RADIO SYSTEM ON THURSDAY THE 17TH OF MARCH 2011, AFTER 20 YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE.
2. DANIELLE ENROLLED IN THE CANADIAN FORCES ON 09 JAN 1991 IN OTTAWA, ONTARIO, AND HAS SERVED AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS DURING HER REWARDING CAREER: CORNWALLIS, KINGSTON AND OTTAWA DURING WHICH SHE SPENT TWO YEARS AT LANGUAGE SCHOOL AND THREE YEARS AT CSEC. SHE HAS ALSO COMPLETED ONE TOUR OF ALERT IN 1993-94, ONE TOUR OF KABUL IN 2004 AND ONE TOUR OF KANDAHAR IN 2006.
3. DANIELLE, HER HUSBAND DEAN AND THEIR TWO CHILDREN BEN AND JOE, WILL REMAIN IN THE NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION AS SHE HAS SECURED EMPLOYMENT IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE.
4. THERE WILL BE A LUNCHEON HELD FOR DANIELLE ON FRIDAY, 11 FEBRUARY 2011 AT 1300 AT MONTANA'S, 2216 BANK ST. SEND YOUR RSVP TO WO ERIC SAVARD (ERIC.SAVARD AT FORCES.GC.CA) NLT 1 FEB 11.

Reunion on the Rock

REUNION ON THE ROCK" is cancelled.

I received a note from Dave Shaw stating that he is unable to continue with plans for a 'Reunion on the Rock" this year and is officially withdrawing his offer to organize the reunion. Our thanks to Dave for all his efforts.

The SUPRAD Oldtimers Association annual reunion will proceed at CFS Leitrim on June 24 - 26.
